With the of encourage many artists, this year we decided to organize another one, Autumnal Rhymes 2017. The Association was formed responding to this need. Its first projects were the establishment of Chinese language school for children and organizing English courses for adults who could not quite master the language. The Association endeavors to promote Chinese culture, community services and harmony in our multicultural society. To encourage members to take an energetic interest in the civic, cultural social and moral welfare of the community. To encourage Chinese culture, education and ethics. Through the combined efforts of all our teachers, students and parents, the Cherry brook Chinese Language School earn the approval of the Chinese community and various Chinese associations. This has made the tireless labor of our teachers a joy, and our efforts have gained the approval of the community. We were awarded beginning store in two categories (912 years age group, 1516 years age group) and one student was honored with a merit award. They raised the standard of the students’ comprehension, helping them understand the inter working of the English and Chinese languages in their critical thinking. In order for students to have a greater accepting of Chinese culture, our school actively encouraged students this year to participate in competitions held by the Chinese Language Association, spanning the subjects of Chinese history, geography, and general knowledge in Chinese culture. We give students the opportunity to prosper and reveal their potential. This is our duty and our goal and we have the urge and approval of our parents in doing so. Upon completion of the program it was obvious that the students’ interest towards learning Chinese had increased dramatically, and that they showed more initiative in their pursuit of learning the Chinese language. We are active firm to do better each year. All of our staff members, under the leadership and guidance of the Cherry brook Chinese Community Association, are dedicated and responsible in their protection for each and every student. As we approach 2017, our school will continue in our goal of helping students gain a hard foundation in their Chinese education, whilst adapting our teaching methods from time to time in order that our students may have a more well rounded accepting of Chinese culture. For 2017 classes, we have made some adjustments: AD: The main objective is to teach the pupils hanyu pinyin, and to have them learn a small amount of characters as preparation for Level 1 work. Learn the pronunciation of characters, grammar, and vocabulary. Emphasis is placed on the aptitude to listen and to speak in Putonghua, and the cultivation of interest in learning Chinese. Teenagers Class: This class caters for tall school and university students interested in Chinese, but who know small of the language. We welcome friends deeply interested in Chinese culture to take an interest in our school, to urge us, and to help us manage our school even better.
